Welcome to the website of the Tayside Branch of the Western Front Association

The Western Front Association was formed in 1980 to maintain interest in the First World War (1914-1918). The 'WFA' works to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of all, from all sides, on all Fronts: on land, at sea, in the air and on the Home Front. The Western Front Association is non-political and does not seek to glorify war.

The Tayside Branch holds regular meetings at which subjects relevant to the Great War are presented, and to which all are welcome, whether or not you are members of the WFA.  In recent times we have presented talks over ZOOM, which have proved to be popular, but are not a substiute for face-to-face meetings.

With an eye to the future, and hopefully less restrictions on our lves and our abilitiy to meet, 2022 will see a mix of ZOOM and face to face meetings..

2022's programme of events remains provisional and is subject to whatever restrictions are in force at the time of each meeting.
